Atari 800 Door Latch Spring Post Replacement

These 2 components replace the small plastic posts which brace the latch spring on the Original 8-bit Atari 800 Cartridge Door.

The components are designed to fit dry, once the original broken/damaged door post(s) have been removed.

*Note…..to avoid the need for glue, the solution is designed to work in conjunction with the keyboard, the bulkhead of which holds the components in place once it's refitted into the case.    

If you try testing the latch without the keyboard in place, the spring will eventually work its way out.  

I designed this after the latch failed on my own 800. It's now been in place for over 6 months without problem.
