Description

Magnetic soft jaws for vices with a width of 100, 115 mm or 4, 5 Inch. The jaws are textured for a better grip and it also has two V-grooves for a better grip on round objects.

 

Required magnets: ø8x3mm (6pcs total)

 

You can also adjust the diameter of the cover as desired and generate an .stl file

The size can vary up to a maximum of: Diameter 12mm, Height 5mm

Note: Insert two copies into BambuStudio (slicer) and mirror one of them, as they are not symmetrical.

Notes:

  • A material that is as resistant as possible should be used. (e.g. PCTG or PETG)
  • For better durability, the wall thickness of the model and the infill (Gyroid preferred) should be increased.
  • A print pause is provided to insert the magnets (3x per jaw).

Yes, I have now changed the file so that you can customize it yourself under “customize.” However, I have also sent you a file with d4x6mm via DM.

It's a good overall design, however for my use case - even with a higher end material and very little pressure it split where you'd expect (along the layer lines, as I clamped 3/8" tube horizontally). I'll probably rotate it and adjust the magnet holes so I can still place them in (as I love that they're embedded).
Strength Issue:It split along the layer lines for a round bar lightly clamped.
