____________

NTSC version now available for US and JP game owners: print it here!

Major update: Now supports A1 Mini (new base print profiles with separate top level print profile)

In a similar vein to my recent N64 game stand, I wanted more space than other PS1 game stands were offering, and I wanted it to accommodate PAL single jewel cases, as well as double cases (e.g. Metal Gear Solid; Final Fantasy VII) in my take on game shelving for this classic console. The result is the modelling of an angular 90s aesthetic stand from scratch, with the benefit of extra storage in contrast to other options: the bottom shelf accommodates 8 standard game cases, while the top shelf accommodates 4 standard games and 3 dual-disc fat cases.

To avoid needing any supports, this should be printed in two pieces. The left and right 'legs' on the bottom lock into grooves on the underside of the top level. The tolerances are implemented well enough that you shouldn't need any glue - just plug and play. Be careful when doing so, to avoid snapping off those legs during the assembly process. It's not the most clever interlock on the planet, but it works.

My unit was printed using Bambu PETG HF Gray (33101) to deliver some extra durability and give it a distinctly PlayStation appearance. PETG is more flexible and less brittle than PLA, which minimised my chances of breaking it during assembly. There's isn't a huge amount of lateral support, but it serves its purpose and isn't unstable. I may work on some geometry revisions to strengthen it further in future. If you've got remix ideas, have at it!

PS. optionally, you can line the bottom with some adhesive foam sponge to prevent the plastic base from sliding on hard surfaces.

I absolutely love this stand for my growing PS1 Collection! Is there any chance that you could release the base for double sized game cases?

Just perfect. I love that the upper shelf has room for thicker cases too. The locking mechanism took a while for me to figure out, but once the wedge thingies snapped together.. Man those are never coming apart. Great print.
