Description

INTRODUCTION

I made this dowel drilling jig for easier dowel joinery. I made it with  system 32. This was printed with PETG.

SHOPPING LIST:

You will need to buy 16 ball bearings with dimensions (diameter: 22mm hole: 8mm  thickness: 7mm).

ASSEMBLY:

You can press fit them into the slots by hand and will take you no more than couple of minutes. Once you have done that you can start using it!

HOW TO USE:

This product is made for simple cabinetry in mind. It can be used to make 90 degree joinery with dowels. To start drilling you will need 8mm drill bit and 8mm dowels then you insert 1 dowel in far left of far right hole in the jih and you align the jig on the edge of the wooden piece. You start drilling as many holes as you need for your projet, then you just remove pevous dowel you inserted and put it on the poopsite side of the jig to drill holes in the second board. When you have drilled the necessary amount of holes you can start inserting the dowels and apply some glue.

I used it to make some cutting boards. I joined the pieces with too many dowels to prove the accuracy you can achive with this 3D print!

Have fun!
