Description
This is a 6x3 stackable Gridfinity bin for storing the “Giantisan GT900” riveter and the four drill bits that come with it. The bin's dimensions are approximately 252mm x 126mm x 45.5mm. There are three plates but you shouldn't print all of them:
- Plate 1 - The bin with very tight fit for the bits. This requires the bits to be pressed a bit hard into their slots, but then they can't come back up from minor shaking (or closing a drawer that this is in harshly).
- Plate 2 - The bin with a looser fit for the bits. The bits easily drop into place, but nothing prevents them from coming up out of their individual slots if the bin is jostled harshly. If your printer is not well calibrated, this is the safer bin to print.
- Plate 3 - Test fit pieces so you can see how the bits fit without printing all of the bin. There are two pieces. One is marked L and has a 90 degree angle on all sides. This is the loose fit. The other is marked T and has a slight angle on the right edge. This is the tight fit. Both of these are cutouts from their respective bins, so tip of the bits should go beyond the test piece and the bottom/flat end of the bits should go all the way into the slots.
Note that the riveter fits the same into either bin; only the bits are tighter/looser. You can squeeze the riveter handle slightly as you put it in and it will naturally hold itself in place.
I colored the bins separately from the text that identifies the bit size. In the sample photos, I used Bambu Wood PLA (white oak) and Bambu Basic PLA (black).
