Sim Racing SLI RPM tachometer
Print Profile(3)

Description
Shift Light indicator for sim racing. The lights are run from Simhub via an Arduino.
Includes mounts for Logitech G-series wheels, all Moza wheelbases and all Simagic. The Moza and Simagic mounts were designed based on the pdf drawings available on the company websites, and have not been tested. Any feedback would be welcome regarding fitment and alignment. G29 mount uses 4 M3x8 screws
I've designed this so that the Arduino is mounted remotely. The SLI connects to it using a 3.5mm jack (See picture for type) and TRS cable (Aka aux cable).
2 versions of the rear cover are included. One uses M3 heat inserts and the other allows for the bolts to be screwed directly into the plastic. The 3.5mm jack should be glued into the hole on the rear. A solder jig STL is also included to hold the 3 LED strips whilst soldering them together. The LEDs glue into the front housing.
Required parts:
Arduino
2 x M3 heat inserts (optional)
6 x M3x12 bolts
WS2812 LED strips - 1x8 and 2x4
The parts can all be purchased on eBay/Aliexpress/Amazon. The LED strips are usually listed as WS2812B LED modules or Neopixels. For this project you want the PCB mounted LEDs rather than the adhesive flexible LED strips.
Simhub has information on the config screen on the correct wiring for the LEDs. The wire order to the 3.5mm jack isn't important as long as the wires go to the right pins at the other end.
I've included a Simhub profile for the LEDs, you can see a video demo here:
Demo order:
- RPM 70 - 100% (Green to red, mirrored)
- Redline Reached (Flashing blue)
- In pit lane (Scrolling Blue)
- In Pit Lane + Limiter (Blue scrolling + yellow flashing)
- ABS Active (Flashing red)
- TC active (Flashing blue)
- DRS Enabled (Flashing light blue)
- DRS Active (Static light blue)
- Black Flag (Flashing red)
- Yellow Flag
- Blue Flag
- White Flag
- Green Flag
- Spotter Left
- Spotter Right
