Summary
Update: Wikipedia was updated with length/diameter measurements, so I have updated this model to reflect that.
This is a scale model of the new long range air-to-air missile, the AIM-174B “Gunslinger”, that was announced to the media in the summer of 2024. The model is available in a couple of sizes, 1:8 scale and 1:12 scale to match the other air to air missiles that I recently released, the AIM-120 and AIM-9X.
The model is super easy to snap together, no glue is required, assembly takes about 30 seconds.
This model is entirely based on recent Wikipedia data and media images from when the AIM 174 was announced in the summer of 2024. Given that, this model is as accurate as can be determined from that public information.
Bambu Filaments used were:
- Basic Light Gray
- Basic Dark Gray
- Matte Yellow
- Basic White
- Matte Brown
- Silk Silver
- Metal Iron Gray/Black for the stand
