Description: This model depicts the Joseph Kainz Monument, located in Vienna’s 18th district. Designed in 1911 by sculptor Sándor Járay, the monument portrays the renowned actor as Hamlet.
Joseph Kainz is celebrated as one of the greatest German-speaking theater actors. In his honor, the Kainz Medal was awarded annually in Austria from 1958 to 1999, recognizing outstanding achievements by actors and directors in theater.
Printed in Elegoo PLA Marble.
For post-processing, I lightly filed down minor remnants of the supports to clean up the print while preserving the details.
Dimensions: 97.84x142.75x233.06mm
How I remixed the original model: I prepared the original .obj model for 3D printing by importing it into Studio Slicer. I fixed minor mesh issues, enlarged the model, optimized supports and infill, and re-oriented it for better slicing and printability, all while preserving the integrity of the original 3D scan.
Note: Tall prints can lose adhesion in the final moments. Please wash your build plate prior to printing. Or consider scaling down 10%. I've also had really good luck using BIQU Cryogrip Pro Frostbite build plates.
