Description

DishFlip - The Essential Dishwasher Door Holder

Description:
DishFlip is a simple yet effective tool designed to hold your dishwasher door slightly open, preventing odors and ensuring proper airflow for drying dishes. It also serves as a clean/dirty indicator with dual-sided nameplates labeled "Clean" and "Dirty," which can be printed in different colors for easy visibility.

This functional accessory includes:

  1. A base hinge with two mounting options: a clamp version compatible with Bosch dishwashers or a flat version for double-sided adhesive mounting.
  2. A stopper with an integral rotating hinge for smooth operation.
  3. Nameplates that slide into the stopper and help you quickly identify the status of your dishes.

DishFlip is designed for durability, usability, and convenience, making it an essential tool for every kitchen.

Printing Instructions:

  • Material: PLA or PETG recommended for durability. PETG is more suitable due to the "clean" state, as it can better withstand the hot steam coming from the dishwasher. However, PLA should work well for most use cases. PETG will also be more durable for the base clamp version.
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm for optimal detail and hinge performance.
  • Infill: 20% for strength.
  • Supports: Not required. The slicer might display the warning "It seems object Assembly has floating regions", but the integral hinge is designed as print-in-place and functions perfectly without supports.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Base & Stopper: Snap the stopper onto the base hinge carefully.
  2. Nameplates: Slide the "Clean" and "Dirty" nameplates into their designated slots on the stopper. If tolerance is loose, apply a small amount of glue.
  3. Mounting Options:
    • For the clamp version, securely fit it onto the dishwasher's plastic shell.
    • For the flat version, use double-sided adhesive to fix it to the dishwasher frame.
