Description
What it is
A light sign utilizing Bambu Labs LED Lamp Kit 001, showing Bambu Labs logo. Two variants to choose from:
- one without the silver top ring and
- one with the silver top ring attached (slighty smaller logo & needs support)
Why
I spent some of my first hard earned points on MakerWorld on one of these LED Lamp Kits. - Lo and behold, I did not need another lamp…
So I decided to make something else with the kit and this is one of the results.
How to print
Recommended for printing is a 0.2mm layer height and a 0.4 mm nozzle. For the material, I opted for PETG and would advise against PLA (temperature of my LED Kit went up to 55°C). → This item may be tricky to print due to shrinkage, volumetric flow, … which all impact the desired fit to the metal parts. Some scaling in the xy-plane may be required. Please report back if you had to scale it, including material and scaling factor used.
The provided print file should be sufficient. General tips for this design:
- Print slow
- Flow ratio should be spot on or leaning towards +1% over usual
- Bed adhesion must be good, first layer defects will catch the eye straight away
- Colors should be pure (if you struggle with this: AMS Calibration - V2)
Assembly
- Un-screw the top ring of the LED spot.
- In case you selected the variant with silver top ring, clip/screw it on the printed part.
- With the printed part placed over the light emitting base, make a brightness test to decide on the diffuser.
- When satisfied, simply clip/screw all parts together.

There may be improvements and modifications based on feedback given here.
Maybe, take a look at my other designs ;-)
