Playdoh Safety Scissors
Print Profile(1)

Description
Hello All,
Are looking for some playdoh fun? Here is a pretty quick print for a small pair of scissors. I based the design on the size of my toddlers hands. As a way to learn how to use scissors or if you want some light duty ones for cutting up playdoh or other modeling clay, these would work well. The blade comes to a single layer edge and they are able to cut paper a few times, so you may need to sand that edge off if your child is just learning about scissors.
Rough dimensions are 125mm (4 7/8") long by 68mm (2 5/8") Wide by 10mm (3/8") thick.
To assemble:
Start by removing the supports of the scissor body with the square hole and insert the stop into the recess; taking note that one edge is rounded more than the others, this should face towards the center of the handle. The tolerances are fairly tight, but if you have little ones who put everything in their mouths, then add a little glue. Then insert the pivot into the cutting edge side of the scissor body with the round hole. Then insert the square pin into the other scissor body and push together tightly. Add the cap into the end of the pivot and enjoy.
