Description

eSUN CoreStack - Transform eSUN cardboard spools into a stackable storage system!

The CoreStack is a creative solution that turns your eSUN cardboard spool cores into functional and stackable storage containers. Designed with sustainability and organization in mind, this system makes use of the sturdy cardboard core from eSUN spools. Each container features:

  • Top and Bottom Lids: Snap securely onto the cardboard core, transforming it into a usable container.
  • Screwable Lid on Top: Allows for easy access and secure closure of the contents.
  • Stackable Design: The top and bottom lids are crafted for perfect alignment, making it easy to stack multiple units for tidy storage.

Ideal for storing:
Small parts, tools, crafting materials, 3D printer accessories, or any other knick-knacks you need to organize!

Disclaimer:
In my experience, eSun has two core diameters. This design focuses on the latest cores with a 91mm outer diameter. As I finish more eSUN spools, I will check for additional variations and update the design if necessary.

Printing Instructions

  • Material: Recommended PLA or PETG for durability.
  • Layer Height: 0.28mm (Extra Draft Profile in Bambu Studio) – Since this is a recycling project, the model was designed with 0.28mm layer height in mind to save printing time and material.
  • Infill: 15-20% is sufficient for strength while keeping prints lightweight.
  • Support: No supports needed. Designed to print efficiently without any extra hassle.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cardboard Core: Clean out any leftover filament or debris from your eSUN spool core.
  2. Attach the Bottom Lid: Align and snap the bottom lid securely onto one side of the cardboard core.
  3. Attach the Top Lid: Align the top lid with the other side of the core and snap it in place.
  4. Insert the Screwable Lid: If the screwable lid feels too tight, lightly file the thread area or screw it in and out a few times to let the material naturally adjust. This will create a smoother fit.
  5. Stack as Needed: Stack multiple units by aligning the bottom lid of one container with the top lid of another.

By choosing CoreStack, you’re not just keeping your workspace organized – you’re also contributing to a sustainable future by giving new life to your filament spools.
