Floating Guitar Wall Mount
Print Profile(1)

Description
I wanted to buy this sort of thing right after I built this guitar from a kit, to mount my work on the wall, but I couldn't find anything remotely like it. I found a shaky youtube video with bad audio that I've lost the link for and used that as inspiration to glue up some scrap maple into blocks to use, but they weren't very pretty even if they worked. Then, awhile later, I 3d printed a weird cap for the lower block to hold up my little practice amp. Today that cap fell off when the adhesive got too cold and the amp fell to the floor while I was trying to decide on a next project, so I did this! This should work with any guitar that has strap mounting points at the bottom and on the back.
Instructions:
1- If you have something you want to clip onto the lower block (like my amp, which I'll link below), then you should print the clip version. If you don't, then maybe the non-clip version will work. I have an A1 Mini and these printed great on my smooth plate (check that the build plate option in the saved profile matches what you use).
2- Hold the guitar up about where you'd like to hang it, and mark the wall. Install the narrower upper block by screwing it into the wall with the slot facing out and up. Use 3"-3.5" long screws and either screw into a stud or use drywall anchors
3- Slide the strap mount into the slot on the upper block. Rotate the guitar until it's in the approximate position you prefer and then slide the lower block over the lower strap mount. Holding that all firmly in place, screw the lower block into the wall (3-3.5" screws into a stud or into drywall anchors).
4- insert the clip if you printed that version. With the guitar off the wall, tap in the screw covers.
