Description

The base was created by 3D scanning a Dewalt DCF887/DCD791, not sure if it will work on other models.

The magnet used is 4.5mm x 19mm x 1.6mm, and the spring is 7mm OD and 19mm long (I got it from a cosmetic bottle).

If your spring is not strong enough to hold the loaded tray in a horizontal position, you can shorten the one in the picture.

Update:  2025/02/12

Assembly picture

New suggestion: The main body should be made of ABS. I printed it with PLA, and the elastic body used for positioning has failed.
