The term "Unending" (Weiyang) first appeared in the Classic of Poetry, Lesser Ode, the sequence of Hongyan, the poem Tingliao: "How is the night? The night is unending, the light of the court torches." In the poem, "Unending" means "unfinished," "unending," or "not yet finished."

In extant literature, unearthed documents, and artifacts, "Unending" frequently appears alongside words like "ten thousand years" and "prolong life," carrying auspicious connotations.

As an auspicious phrase, the meaning of "Unending" is simple: no disaster, no calamity, implying peace, longevity, and immortality.

The Unending Box, named after "Unending," holds profound meaning. On one hand, "Unending" symbolizes the exploratory spirit of those venturing into 3D printing for the first time, reminding creators that the optimization and beautification of their work is a continuous process, that the pursuit of perfection never ceases.

On the other hand, "Unending" also embodies auspiciousness, wishing the owner of this work longevity, eternal happiness, and everlasting blessings, conveying beautiful wishes and expectations.

Design Concept and Elements

Plum Blossom, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum

Plum Blossom: Defying the cold and snow, cutting through ice and snow, with an indomitable spirit, representing the noble and upright.
Orchid: Quietly blooming in secluded valleys, appreciating its own beauty, fragrant and elegant, representing the world's wise and virtuous.
Bamboo: Swaying gently in the wind and moonlight, elegant throughout life, pure and serene, representing a humble gentleman.
Chrysanthemum: Elegant and graceful even in the frost, independent and unconventional, not swayed by power, representing a hermit.
 

The Chinese imbue their deepest emotions in every flower, plant, stone, and tree, thus allowing flora and fauna to transcend or expand their original meaning, becoming symbols and metaphors of character. The "Four Gentlemen" is a traditional subject in Chinese painting, referring to the plum blossom, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum. It is a traditional auspicious pattern.

The inner courtyard corridor and pavilion create a tranquil and harmonious atmosphere of a classical courtyard, reflecting the Taoist philosophy of "harmony between humanity and nature."

These design details collectively imbue the "Unending Box" with artistic expression and cultural depth, conveying respect for traditional culture and a pursuit of aesthetic living.

Internal Structure and Function

1. Upper Layer: Fusion of Mirror and Light

Upon opening the upper lid of the Unending Box, a refined mirror is revealed, surrounded by an openwork lamp strip, providing soft illumination. The lighting supports three color adjustments and can be dimmed infinitely by long pressing, meeting the needs of various scenarios. The switch is cleverly hidden under the lid, activated by touch, simple yet technologically advanced.

2. Middle Layer: Pavilion and Exquisite Storage

The middle layer is highlighted by a Chinese pavilion design, featuring an openwork dougong bracket pattern, providing hanging space for earrings and pendants, which can be removed as a whole, making it convenient and classically beautiful. The inside of the drawers on both sides of the middle layer are lined with velvet fabric to prevent scratching, ensuring jewelry is well-protected. The side-sliding design also cleverly connects to the hidden compartment on the lower layer and the lighting lid switch, seamlessly integrating function and design.

3. Lower Layer: Multi-functional and High Capacity

The lower layer features left and right opening doors, with built-in hooks for hanging necklaces and bracelets, keeping them tidy and organized. The drawer provides ample space for larger items, meeting various storage needs.

The interior is lined with black flocked fabric, paired with a black and gold color scheme, enhancing the overall texture while effectively protecting jewelry from friction and wear, showcasing understated elegance.
