Description
My husband is a big fan of the 2024 Wicked movie, so I offered to 3D print the logo and add some lighting to it. When I asked how large he wanted it, he answered “Yes”. So here we are, The largest possible option on a X1C while still laying the letters flat on the bed.
Suggestions:
Use a smooth PEI plate (at least for the letter bodies)
For the translucent parts of the letters I used transparent PLA, but printed it at the same speed as any other PLA to get that opaque but still translucent effect. Oh and add wall loops as necessary to avoid those ugly infill patterns.
Other Parts:
The LED strips I used were a Pink 8mm COB LED strip and a Green 8mm COB LED strip
As for assembly, I just used a lot of super glue 😅Just align the cable holes of the letter backplate to align it on the backbrace. There is a hole on the W-side for a USB-C port for power and on the D-Side there is a hole for a power button!
