Description

news: I added Version 2! It has a reworked bottom contour on both trays so they won't wobble as much in the identation of the Baristina!

I wasn't happy with the design of the original driptray on my Philips Baristina coffee machine.

Problem 1: If you brew a few coffees back to back the portafilter can drip a few drops of coffee next to the original driptray while grinding.

and Problem 2: there's no good place to store the portafilter after use and i find that putting it back in the machine keeps it a little damp.

So I made a few adjustments:

  • Copied most of the original designs and dimensions but extended it to the right (symmetrically to the rest of the machine)
  • my first try was to use the additional lid ( the white one on the second build plate) but it would still drip right between the 2 lids
  • So I made a fitting lid for the wider tray (first build plate, blue in the pictures).
The holes are right under the two resting spots of the portafilter so the residual coffee drips right in and I taylored the holes after the contour of the portafilter so you can rest it in them after use as seen in the pictures.
  • I also made a slimmer tray on the second build plate which would enable the use of higher mugs but I haven't had the need to print that one yet.

If you are happy with my model it would be nice to get a boost.

this (slim version) was exactly what I was looking for after getting my new baristina! thank you! my only complaint is that the tolerances were a bit loose and it moves around inside the square well more than I’d like.

Thanks for the review! I might get back into the model again and make the base a little wider

I changed the models and added the V2 so now it shouldn't wobble as much!

I don't want to give a bad review but I have a question how on earth did you properly remove this unnecessary support structure I have printed a lot but this is hellish It didn't work without force and I want to print it again just in black so it matches but without a tip on how to remove the support structure I can't print it again

Hello I would be very happy to help you with that Could you please briefly tell me if you used a separate interface material for the support structure (for example PETG if the actual part consists of PLA)

Replying to @Lex_Brofist :
I think I found the error. Yes, I only used PLA and did not use other filament like PETG for the supports. I will change that and then it should work. Thank you for your helpfulness

My coffeecup didn’t fit before, with the slim it does. You made AND improved it, better than the original. including a hole for the holder. Perfect fit! 👍🏻

Looks amazing! I went for the slim wide drip tray, as this has enough space for some splashes, allows for higher mugs and compliments my coffeemaker beautifully! Thank you so much!
