Cable Tie – Perfect for Leftover Filament
Print Profile(2)

Description
Need a functional way to use leftover filament? This single-use cable tie is inspired by the EN 62275 standard, ensuring it meets size and functional requirements:
- Length: 200mm
- Width: 4.9mm
- Thickness: 1.5mm
- Srength: Depends on print and filament but it should be close to the 220n (22kg) of the EN 62275
It prints effortlessly on most standard 3D printers. Tested settings include:
- Printer: Ender 3 V2
- Layer height: 0.12mm
- Nozzle size: 0.4mm
- Material: PLA
The test prints where always done with bambuStudio ender 3v2 0,12mm standard profile no setting change
While the locking mechanism is secure once engaged, it’s a single-use design, making it ideal for quick cable management or fastening needs.
I encourage you to test it with other materials like PETG, ABS, or Nylon and share your results! This is not just a practical tool but also a sustainable project for using filament scraps at the end of a roll. In the profile mentioned it was taking about 40min and about 1,9g (0,65m).i only testet the 100mm until they worked, so they are not es Optimized especially because of the sice, the 200mm i am really happy with. Feedback and suggestions are always welcome!
i suggest printing the one or two layers where the latch are connected without a fan that gives the best strength.
