Summary
UPDATE: New exploration box fits sleeved cards - no lid needed since there won't be a gap between the top of the box and the game box lid. Other trays are not designed for sleeves though, only the new exploration box!
DETAILS: There is enough space for all content (other than play mats)! 7 civs, the Borg, and all associated systems and exploration cards. Remix of talker13's insert https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2811010 with some modifications and some new components - thinner walls, more efficient prints, less filament used. Dice tower is a remix of MementoMori's https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2796316 .
The civ trays have specific slots for command, ascendancy, and warp tokens, and they have nesting tabs that make them easier to stack (but tabs are fragile fyi). The dice tower is difficult to print but ends up working nicely. Not sure if starbases will fit in the civ trays with escalation packs as well, but they might. If not, forgo the dice tower and put them in that area.
Here's everything you need to print for the complete insert:
- 7x civ trays
- 2x warp lane tray
- 1x everything else
Explanation for the resource box "FILL" piece - You only need 1 resource BOX, which will hold all production, research, and culture tokens from all currently-released content. Optional: print 1 resource box FILL - it's a scoop that can be pressed inside the culture token section of the resource box. There are fewer culture tokens and they are smaller, so they don't take as much space in the box relative to the other tokens. The fill / scoop piece reduces the wasted space a little and makes it easier to scoop them out of the box. Hopefully that makes sense! I added a picture of the resource box with the fill/scoop piece (red color) in the culture section of the resource box.
HOPE YOU ENJOY!
