Description

This LB is made out of the US Navy's VF-41 Black Aces squadron emblem. As a Tomcat lover this squadron is close to my heart but don't forget to mentione in Top Gun: Maverick Phoenix was from this squadron too :)

The ligh inside is a simple 5V USB powered LED strip that can be cutted to the correct lenght and the remaining part can be used in a future project.

Tools and Materials

  • Aluminium tape (I recommend the Tesa brand)
  • LED strip (I've used this)
  • USB power cable (I've this in my inventory)
  • Glue gun (optional, if you want to close it permamently)
  • Soldering Iron in case you need to adjust your wiring or add to the LED strip

Recommendation

  • In case the print will be over the purge line then remove it on the beginning so won't stuck into your print
  • make a hole for your LED strip/power cable on your prefered location
  • Use the aluminium tape to cover the inside of the backplate to reflext the light towards the front.
  • Stick the LEd strip as far as you can get from the front plate
