Description

An original, stylish, modular case solution for your Raspberry Pi 5. This case has been designed to fit together without the need for additional fixing hardware (bar the optional intake port cover which may require a few dabs of glue) , and features excellent airflow characteristics for the efficient dissipation of heat when used in conjunction with the official Raspberry Pi cooling solution.

UPDATE (03/02/2025): A print profile for the RPi AI Kit and camera has been added.

Key features are as follows:

  • Modular design (several versions to meet your use case)
  • Durable and strong
  • Easy to print
  • Excellent thermal characteristics when used in conjunction with the official RPi cooling solution
  • Upgradable
  • Can be used with the RPi Touch Display 2 Desktop Case

This is version 1 (V1). Future updates will include optional mounting solutions, stands, and solutions for the addition of various hats and boards.

Bright colours have been used for the photos to clearly highlight the various parts of the case, however the print profile defaults to black PLA+

Tested PLA+ Filaments:

  • Bambulab
  • 3DFillies
  • CC3D
  • eSun
  • Elegoo

Printers used:

  • P1S
  • X1Carbon
  • X1E
  • A1 Mini

PLEASE NOTE: The feet will need to be inserted into the base plate. This can be quite difficult, but they do fit. I suggest seating them in the hole first, and then pressing down on a hard surface until they pass through completely.

Posting this here to continue our discussion instead of the thread for the screen case since this is related to the Pi case component. With the particular HAT that I have and the standoffs I'm using, the case is too short on the X-axis and there's not enough clearance at the top for the printed lid to go into it. In addition, my particular HAT extends slightly too far on the X-axis to fit into the case. Please see the attached photos like you requested, sorry it took so long to get them for you. If you don't mind making a slight modification, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm assuming that's a Geekworm X1001 PCIe to M.2 Key-M NVMe SSD PIP TOP. I don't have one, though I have made a quick change that you are welcome to test based on the provided images and their website.

Yes, you're correct about it being the Geekworm adapter. I'd love to try that quick modification you made, but the link isn't working (says it's private or draft or deleted). Not sure if that is intentional for now. Also, just wanted to say, I hate being that person saying "please do additional work on this free thing you made", which is why I originally asked about providing files for remixing. I understand why you don't want to change the license, so I just want to say THANK YOU, I really appreciate all the work you've done.

Cheers, and thanks for the question. A universal camera attachment is on the list to support the use of the Hailo AI Module. Looking to have this done within the next 5 days if everything stays on schedule. On a side note, love the Gilmore and Carl Weathers reference.

Very nice design! I wonder why you haven't posted CAD files -- for example, I'm using a 52Pi PD Power Hat and need to make some modifications to the STL to make it work. I do think it'd be very helpful for the Raspberry Pi community, and maybe there's a license that makes it comfortable for you. Cheers!
