Printing

Print two of the axle halves flat-side down and insert them through the center bore from opposite sides. The axle pieces are tapered slightly so that some light hammering will lock them firmly in place when fully seated.

This can be printed without supports if you place the body of the pulley upright on one of the angled faces found at either end of the part. The body will stand upright at a 45-degree angle (see example photo), and assuming good, strong build plate adhesion, it will print to an acceptable quality. Add some supports to achieve the highest quality exterior finish.

Increasing the number of perimeters will make the part stronger. The axle pieces should be printed solid.

As tempting as it is to print the pulley body with the large flat face down on the build plate this is actually the weakest orientation for the print and most likely to split across the layer lines and fail. It will also require way too much support material and should be avoided. Printing it standing at 45 degrees is a very good orientation for strength and unlikely to shear across the layers. Alternatively standing the part on its edges with the large flat faces perpendicular to the build plate will make for a very strong print.
