Description

After installing the new custom door cards, I needed a new way to pull the door shut. To complete this simple project yourself, you will need:

  • Leather or fabric strap (I used an 18mm wide strip of leather)
  • ¼" Eyelet & Eyelet tool (found at any craft store)
  • Original bolt that came with the armrest of your Miata

Make a loop over your hand with the strap and cut it to your desired length. Punch a hole in either end big enough to fit the eyelet and hammer in the eyelets. Put the two ends of the straps with the eyelets through the hole in the bottom of the 3D printed part. Thread the bolt through the two eyelet holes and the 3D printed part. Screw it into the factory mounting hole in your door frame. Cover it with the finishing “M” finishing face. You can use superglue or 3M double sided tape to secure it.
