Description

Heat Gun Gridfinity Bin

This design takes a generic heat gun sold on Amazon and compacts it into a 6u x 2u x 4u(height) bin. The aim was to minimize wasted space that is seen in a lot of other general GF designs so it is in there pretty snug.

Whats Supported

Given the size, this won't print on smaller printers than the A1, P1S/P, X1C buildplates (256x256x256). Also for speed, this was printed using a 0.6 nozzle on draft profile settings.

How was this designed?

The general GF bin was made using Fusion Gridfinity Plugin. The rest was all hand designed in tinkercad using measurements of my heat gun found here on amazon. There is a bit of tolerance for other similar heat guns, but feel free to grab the design from tinkercad and remix it for your needs.

good quality print. the fit is a bit iffy for my off-brand mini heat gun, but I'm not holding that against the maker. it works well enough for my workshop!

Looks good nonetheless even if your heater has a chonkier body than mine did

i modify it a little bit to be stackable and add "heat gun". Other than that, i works flawlessly, thank you !

silly question (I'm a noob at this maker world stuff) - how should I do that? I was thinking should I just add it as a separate plate? I do see some potential in a shallow version like I. original

I'm not sure why the description says this wont fit on 256mm³ print beds, it definitely does. Printed great on my P1S and there was room to spare
