Material:

  • PLA: Ideal for standard handles, easy to print, perfect for parts that won't be exposed to heavy mechanical loads.
  • PETG: Well-suited for handles that need to be more flexible and resistant to various conditions (e.g., moisture).
  • ABS: Best for more durable handles, especially when the handle will be used outdoors or exposed to high temperatures.

Print Resolution:

  • 0.2 mm: Standard print quality, suitable for handles, providing a good balance between speed and accuracy.
  • 0.1 mm: If higher precision is needed (e.g., for better screw hole fit).

Infill:

  • 20-30% Infill: Sufficient for achieving handle stability with minimal material usage.
  • Infill pattern: Grid or gyroid – provides good strength with lower material consumption.

Cooling:

  • On (100%): Cooling helps achieve better surface quality, especially when printing with PLA. Cooling is particularly important for smaller details.

Supports:

  • Optional: If the handle has a complex geometry, enable supports to avoid overhangs and ensure better print quality.
  • Minimal overhang angle: 45° (for easier support removal).

Print Temperature:

  • Nozzle: 200-220°C for PLA, 230-250°C for ABS or PETG.
  • Bed: 50-60°C (for PLA), 90-110°C (for ABS).

Retraction:

  • Distance: 4-6 mm (for Bowden system), 1-2 mm (for Direct Drive).
  • Speed: 25-45 mm/s.
