Description

I recently bought a new pair of binoculars.  The lens caps are supposed to be manually clipped onto the neck strap every time you want to use them.  This was too much fiddling for me, so I whipped up this design for a tether to keep the lens caps attached to the binoculars so you can just pop them off and drop them.

Instructions for use:

  1. Print from TPU
  2. Remove the tripod adapter cap
  3. Thread the tripod adapter cap back on through the hole in the middle of the big end of each tether
  4. Clip the lens cap on between the small hole and the push stud
  5. Fold the strap over and push the push stud through the small hole until it snaps
  6. Enjoy a life of not fiddling around with loose lens caps

This may work for other binoculars too, but I've only tested with the 10-22x Aculon glasses I designed it for.  If you have another model and it works for you, Bonus!
