Description

BetaFPV Pavo 20 Pro LiPo Protection Battery Cage

Stop damaging your LiPo batteries during the hard landings and crashes. I found I was easily damaging the corners of my Pavo 20 drone batteries. This might be a admission of my flying skill level. However, this design serves to help resolve this concern. Weighs 5.75g

Designed to fit the BetaFPV LAVA 550mAh LiPo 3c battery. Should also fit the 450mAh variety or any battery inside the 68.5(L) x 20.4(W) x 15.7(H)mm space. This may also fit other Pavo variants, but I have not tested. Please let me know if you discover that it fits something else.

Drone components can get hot. I suggest using ASA or PETG.

Update: v03 File has now been updated to include a socket to secure and protect the charge port.

Overall, was printed very well. I printed in PLA for test whether my GNB 550 3s battery will fit to this cover frame. Unfortunately it doesn't fit smoothly. I share also dimensions of GNB 550mah 3s, maybe it will be possible to design cover also for this particular battery 😉If I use force battery fit, but the heat sink is a problem, so maybe +2mm for length and will be perfect 😄

Pavo20 Pro v2 with 3s 450mAh batteries and they fit. Just has ~7mm gap at the back, otherwise its great

Works very well for protection of batteries. I used Tattu 3S 550mAh and they fit. The only thing I could say to improve is a slot for the battery strap to make it flush with the surface.

Wouldn't it be better to print this cage from TPU This way the cages won't break on impact They print quickly and I'm wondering which filament would be better ✌🏼

These should be standard for all FPV drones. Protect that LiPo everytime. Printed with PLA Tough +, is holding up quite well.
