utility case with lid storage

UPDATE 1/22/2025 - Added profile for TPU Gasket.

 - When printing the TPU gasket, make sure to use glue stick on print bed before print.  This is only to help with removing after it is finished.  Be very careful when removing, the gasket is very thin.  I advise using the metal scraper to lift an edge on the corner and slowly running it around to lift.

This is the first of hopefully many utility cases I plan on creating.  Hopefully you all like it. This cases measurements are as follows,

L- 150mm

W-100mm

H- 70mm

This case is unique in that it has a separate insert with snap in lid that goes into the lid section. 

It should just pressure fit into place without any glue.  If it is loos just put a couple dabs of super glue and pop it in.

The case is put together with a total of 8 M3 screws and nuts.

You will need 6 M3x30 screws and 6 hex nuts to go with them.  These are used for the hinge and locking mechanism.

You will also nee 2 M3x8 screws for the handle.  These with the handle should be attached first before the locking mechanism.  

As you can see from the picture the nuts are just pressed into place and then the screws are run through.  The nuts should be a snug fit.
