Description
Update- v6:
A springless version has been added for enhanced stability
The recommended filament remains ABS or PETG; PLA lacks the necessary long-term durability. A spring failed yesterday.
As the slats of my slatted bed frame have been slightly too short since the beginning (several years ago), they regularly break out of their rubber holders under load.
To remedy this, after much procrastination, I have finally created this model.
I am currently testing it in PLA, where it holds up very well; TPU has also been in use for a few days.
Two variants:
v4 - with a backstop for printing in flexible material → the slat can be inserted.
v4.1 - without a backstop for printing in rigid material → the slat can be inserted and removed.
Personally, I have combined v4 on one side with v4.1 on the other.
The bed frame is potentially dismountable but will absolutely not slide out.
Flexibility is still present even with PLA, although not as much as with TPU and other materials closer to the original would be.
