I crafted a small control box for my Hydrotower to manage the pump and measure temperature, water level, and EC. Everything fits neatly into the small box, which can be inserted into the existing holes of the available lids.

You have flexibility when choosing the electronics. I used an ESP8266 D1 mini with common sensors and integrated the control via ESPHome into Home Assistant. The base plate is undrilled. A sleeve for inserts is included for screwing onto the components and later gluing onto the base plate and can be replicated as needed.

Besides the electronics, you will need a tube with dimensions of 12/8 mm. I procured a corresponding acrylic tube and use that.

The lid in the print profile is kept simple and without the depicted icon. However, you can easily create your own to your liking.

Enjoy printing and measuring!
