Description

Summary

This is a clone of the L2K concept by Artisan Alliance. I made this because I wasn't able to order their part through Shapeways and the designer didn't make the 3D file available for those with 3D printers. I whipped this design up in a few minutes in TinkerCad using a Cherry MX Stem design and a generic LEGO plate found in STL format.

I have printed this on both a FDM and SLA printer with success, I have shrunk the stem to better fit the Keycap without a risk of it breaking off in the keycap. If you find that the stem is too tight, I would suggest using a small nail file on the stem to make it fit accordingly.

I put a flat on one corner to help with keying you molds for orientation.

Remember to use LOTS of mold release!

I’m sorry you had that issue, it is a risk unfortunately because of how this part prints. I should have better pointed out the potential need to scale the print down to prevent the shaft from shearing off in the cap.
