Integrating a Hygrometer into Home Electrical Systems

This design incorporates square or round hygrometers

with the Busch Jäger Reflex SI switch range for home electrical systems

or with a separate surface-mounted installation

Finding the Right Design for You:

The faceplates are clearly labeled to help you find the perfect design

The hygrometer cutout dimensions are shown in the images

As I only have square hygrometers, I could only test them with those

Nevertheless, I wanted to make this design available to those who use round hygrometers as well

I found the diameter online and hope it covers all sizes

Recessed Mounting:

For recessed (in-wall) mounting, ensure

that the round retaining frame is closed to prevent incorrect readings

Additionally, the central disc has four air holes

I have integrated the support into the design of the retaining frame

It is absolutely minimalist and can be easily broken out

During assembly, the central disc should ideally be flush with the round retaining plate

Surface Mounting:

In this design, the ventilation holes are located on the side of the housing for surface mounting

The central disc can be used with or without ventilation holes

For this type of mounting, the simple retaining plate (no rear cover) is sufficient

Hygrometer Installation / Maintenance:

The central disc is fastened with 2.5 - 3 mm screws, a length of 12 mm or more is recommended

Wood screws or M3 screws are possible. Pre-drilling the threads may be necessary

Once everything is installed and assembled, the hygrometer simply slides in and holds itself in place

For battery replacement, it can be easily pried out of the central disc with a fingernail
