I am Groot…

Hello Guardian Fans,

I wanted to decorate my flowerpot a little, and the little Groot from the Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy movies came to mind

I quickly found a beautiful file here on MakerWorld by Eastrise with the option for movable / dangling legs. (Of course, I have listed the original file below as the basis for my remix.) Many thanks for this wonderful work

I found this cute Groot still looked a bit lifeless, I wanted to make him more vibrant. So, I carefully painted a pair of eyes with light reflection using the freehand tool in Bambu Studio. The eyes alone can breathe some life into a figure. That's what was missing for me

That's also why I have the AMS, so I don't have to manually paint things afterwards. Unfortunately, I'm not very creative at painting

In addition, the original had a large clunky key ring on its head, which bothered me a lot. I didn't want to use it as a keychain but as a sitting decoration for my flowerpot

So I simply removed it using simple tools in Bambu Studio

The size of Groot measured while sitting is approximately: 6x6x6cm

So here's my remix summarized again:

• two-tone eyes
• no more key ring
• layer height 0.16

The print runs smoothly without supports, and of course, takes a bit longer than the original because it's now 3 colors. However, the effort is worth it. You'll be rewarded with a lively-looking Groot. Check out the photos
