Description
(Outdoor) Mount for the popular Tuya temperature and humidity sensors. It can be mounted on a pole using one or two cable ties or on a wall with one countersunk screw. It is an easy print requiring no supports.
The mount is carefully designed:
- To prevent water from entering the sensor.
- To some extend reduce the effect of heating from direct sunlight.
- To provide some air circulation around the sensor to reflect the real air temperature and humidity. However, mount it somewhere shielded from direct sunlight to avoid reading too high temperature values.
- To be easily printable without the need for supports.
The Tuya sensor comes in several variants with slightly different external dimensions, but I designed the mount to accommodate all the square-ish versions I could find on AliExpress.
Maximum dimensions
- The Tuya sensor: 72 x 26 x 22 mm (height, width, depth)
- The cable ties (if used): 5.75 x 2.5 mm (width, thickness)
- The countersunk screw (if used): 4.5 mm (diameter)
