Door hinge cover sleeves for 14mm

These covers are for doors that are hung up by drill-hinges (or ‘paumelles’) that are used for rebated doors. These hinges consists out of two parts. Usually a mix of a smaller and a taller hinge, but possibly two taller hinges. This model is a cover for them. The requirement for this cover is that the hinge tubes have a diameter of 14mm. The height of the smaller hinge cover is 33mm. The height of the taller hinge cover is 49mm. You can mix and match to your liking. These doors (depending on their weight) usually have 2 hinges, so you'll most likely need to print two sets. 

Optional: Hinge washers (14mm and 16mm)

The hinges usually come with one or two washers (for adjustments). The rings can be printed to match the color of the covers, if you decide to not cover them. Be aware that the usual washer are made from durable nylon. Washers printed in PLA or PETG may be much less durable. The 14mm washers are standard. The 16mm washers will be sitting flush with the covers.

Tips

1. When the inner size is correct, but the length is not, and you want to size them properly, you could use a ‘press pull’ function of you CAD software or scale on the Y axis. The latter could be effective if it's only a few milimeters. For more adjustments, I suggest editing this model with more care.
2. The covers should be able to cover the rings. Only one cover should cover a washer completely. Check which cover ‘moves’ the ring. It is no problem to have a bit of extra length on the flat side of the cover.

In Dutch:

Paumelle sierhulzen, of overschuifhuls voor opdek binnendeuren. Geschikt voor paumelles met een buitenmaat van 14mm. De lengte van de sierhulzen zijn 49mm en/of 33mm. Iets groter dan standaard om ze mooi over de ringetjes te laten vallen.

De 33mm wordt voor het kleinere (meestal bovendeel) gebruikt. De 49mm deel wordt voor het onderste gedeelte gebruikt. Voor langere paumelles, kun je tweemaal de 49mm printen. Afhankelijk van het gewicht, hebben de meeste Nederlandse opdekdeuren 2 paumelles. Voor zwaardere deuren soms 3. Voor iedere deur heb je dan 2 of 3 van deze setjes nodig.

Optioneel: Ringetjes (14mm en 16mm)

De bijgevoegde ringetjes kun je in dezelfde kleur als de sierhulzen printen. Houdt rekening mee met het feit dat de bijgeleverde standaard zwarte ringen van nylon zijn. Deze zijn duurzamer dan deze te printen in PLA of PETG. De 14mm ringetjes zijn standaard. De 16mm zijn gelijk aan de diameter van de sierhulzen.

Tips:

1. Als de binnenzijde 14mm is, en de hoogte van deze sierkapjes niet helemaal klopt, kun je in je CAD software de kapjes modificeren met de ‘press pull’-functie. Is het slechts enkele milimeters verschil, kun je deze ook in de slicer lichtjes schalen op de Y-as. 
2. De sierhuls zou over een gehele ring geschoven kunnen worden. Zorg dat de kapjes niet beide over dezelfde ring schuiven.
