Compliance / Fire Resistance would depend a lot on the materials used, I assume. If you print it with a high-temp CF material it will of course sustain more stability before meltdown than PLA-silk. In Germany neither would be legal / seen with kind eyes by your fire insurance because it was never tested and deemed ok (even if it might be better than some cheap ones)... This looks very useful but I use it for tinkering projects to increae safety and would never use it as junction box in the house installation.

Es ist ziemlicher Unsinn hier nach „Brandschutz“ zu fragen. Welches Band? Wie sieht die Einbausituation aus? Wenn jemand nach „in der Wand“ fragt, dann ist die Frage ob die Zulassung dieser Wandkonstruktion brennbare Materialien zu lässt oder nicht. Das hat weniger etwas mit dieser PLA-Kiste zu tun. Ein „zugelassenes“ Brandschutzprodukt wird niemals irgendwo in einem DIY-Prozess erstellt werden können, weil es nicht geprüft worden ist. Und selbst wenn es eine art Bauartzulassung gäbe, wer überprüft denn welches Filament verwendet wurde?

Inquiring about "fire protection" here is rather nonsensical. Which band? What is the installation situation? If someone asks about "in the wall," the question is whether the approval of this wall construction permits combustible materials. This has little to do with this PLA enclosure. An "approved" fire protection product can never be created in any DIY process because it has not been tested. And even if there were some type of building approval, who would verify which filament was used?

Is this us fire code compliant for in-wall/junction box use? Also, it looks like you have screw holes for the top lid, what screw size? I don't see it listed in the description
