Description

Hi!!

More of my 3d printed stuff, it's a grandstand for slot cars, pretty strait forward assembly, some sanding might be required. I Use gorilla glue gel to assemble parts.

I am still undecided if I add a VIP area in the roof area, holes for assembly are premade for future upgrades, there is also a set of holes on top for an additional banner.

For the roof coupling pins, notice there is 2 length, reason is to make sure it does not goes too deep in the holes for the possible VIP area in roof.

For the 4 big parts prints, support is enabled , some area support might be optional but because the print is a few hours, I went the safe way to make sure it come out nice.

The carrera logo is embossed for color 3d print without AMS, you will need to add a stop in the slicer to switch spool for another color.

Thanks and have fun, please provide feedback!!

firstly, great model, printed perfectly many thanks. secondly I couldn’t help myself and made a few alternation 1) Added an advertising board and loud speaker/tannoys to the roof (using the original holes in the model) 2) Found a model on here for stadium seats, scaled to the model and printed them in rows of 3 and 4 3) added a VIP area suspended from the roof (located using the holes on the underside of the original model) Happy to upload these additions to print if anybody is interested

nice job! on what printer you printed it? I assume you use the top premade hole to add the VIP area? I haven't got time to complete mine.

it was on an X1C, yes used the holes on the underside on the roof pieces with corresponding holes on top on the vip section.

I printed this on my X1Carbon. The model is very well done. This is in my first 5 prints owning the printer. It came out great and really gives me inspiration to learn 3d modeling. I'll put this at our club track and do another one for my home track as I think it's a great way to show people how great these 3d printers are. Thanks for providing this model. You are doing a great service for the slot car hobby as well as the 3d printing hobby.

It's a very nice Grand Stand. I'll print another with the roof. I did not print the people/figurines. Though some were painted and as you can see there are a number of them still needing painting. I'll do that as during a time I'm printing other things and watching a video. Thanks again for the model. :-)

Great addition to my racetrack. Printed at 1/43 scale and changed up some of the colors and it came out great. Now to get some spectators in it!

How did you get the grey on "Carrera"? Aside from painting, is there an easier way? I have an AMS

I have an AMS 2 but all you need to do is color the "Carrera" in the Bambu slicer software. I had both the red and the grey in the AMS and it was able to switch over to the other color as it printed. No painting!! I ended up reprinting it in Red and White as it looked nicer and had a better contrast. I printed the Race Marshall tower as well in black and white.
