Description

For easy clamping and gluing of boxes, frames and other 4-sided wooden things. Printed in PETG with PLA support material which comes off very cleanly and easily. If using PETG support material set support settings to default.

Requires:

  • 150mm length of M6 threaded rod
  • x1 M6 nut
  • x1 M6 nyloc nut
  • x1 M6 washer
  • 15mm polypropylene webbing, ebay link: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161966722504

To assemble, thread the handle (part 4) onto the threaded road 75mm, I found it easiest to cut down the rod with an angle grinder to help it cut, then clamp the rod in a vise and wind the handle on by hand, it might be easier to use a M6 metal tap to cut the thread in the handle first. The handle should be tight as there's no fixings or glue, alternatively you could drill the hole out to 6mm and epoxy glue it on.

Press the M6 nut into the sliding block (part 3), thread through the rod with handle attached then fit a locknut and washer to the other end (photo 2).

Slide the assembly onto the main body (part 1) and superglue the cover piece (part 2) to hold it in place.

Cut a piece of 15mm wide webbing (mine are 110cm long), seal the ends with a lighter and crimp with pliers while hot, then feed through the clamp as shown in the photos.

Works great, however I'm not sure why you modified the support settings so significantly. I couldn't get them off for the life of me (Bambu Matte Black PLA) and reprinted it with default tree support settings 😅

Thanks for your comment, the support settings are for a PETG print with PLA support material, when used this way the support material comes away extremely cleanly and easily. I mentioned this in the print profile comments but will make that clearer in the description.

Replying to @RBrayWood :
That makes sense, mine was PLA-only.
