Description

Passive Cooling Case for ODROID H4 and 2x 3.5" HDDs

This case is designed to house an ODROID H4 along with two 3.5" HDDs, providing efficient airflow for passive cooling. The design is compact and straightforward to print, with no overhangs or supports required. Screw holes are included for optional surface mounting.

Features

  • Provides passive cooling for the ODROID H4 and two 3.5" HDDs.
  • Slide-in and click for HDDs in trays.
  • Print-friendly design with no need for supports.
  • Includes screw holes for surface mounting.

Assembly Instructions

  1. Attach the Front Cover
    • Glue the front cover in place using Cyanoacrylate or a similar adhesive.
  2. Install the HDDs
    • Secure the 3.5" HDDs in the trays using standard HDD screws.
    • Slide the 3.5" HDD trays into the grooves inside the case. They will click in place.
  3. Mount the ODROID H4
    • Position the H4 on the designated mounting points.
    • Use four additional 6-32 UNC screws (HDD screws) to secure it.
    • Connect power and SATA cables to the HDDs. The 20 cm variant works but is a tight fit. If possible, get the longer variant.
  4. Optional: Install a Power Button
    • Mount a 16 mm momentary push button in the circular hole on the front cover.
    • Connect the button's contacts to pins 17 and 19 on the ODROID H4 expansion header.
  5. Insert the Back Cover
    • Slide the back cover into place from the top.
  6. Attach the Top Cover
    • Push the top cover into position.

This case is shared as an open-source design for anyone who wants a compact, yet sleek and effective solution for housing an ODROID H4 and HDDs. Feedback and modifications are welcome.
