Description
3D-Printed Push Block Handle with M3 Brass Threaded Inserts – Description
This push block handle is specifically designed for safe handling of workpieces during machine operations. The sturdy construction, combined with brass threaded inserts, ensures a durable and reliable connection.
Design Features:
- Mounting Points:
- Two embedded brass threaded inserts (for M3 screws) are located at the base of the handle.
- The holes for the inserts are cylindrical, with a diameter of 5 mm and a depth of 7 mm, suitable for standard M3 threaded inserts.
- The inserts are melted into place using heat, providing a precise and secure fastening solution.
- Surface:
- Anti-slip texture or light ribbing on the main contact surfaces for optimal grip.
- Compatibility:
- Suitable for easy installation on push blocks or similar fixtures using M3 screws (max. screw length: 10–15 mm).
Using the Brass Threaded Inserts:
- The threaded inserts are melted into the prepared holes.
- A soldering iron tip (approximately 200–220 °C) is recommended to evenly press the inserts into place.
- Once inserted, the inserts should sit flush with the surface of the handle for a clean and professional finish.
