Description
Octopus Buddha (Sanskrit: zhangyu), one of the ten titles of Buddha. Zhang means "chapter," and yu means "fish." Chapter refers to true chapter, with two meanings: through the path of true chapter, by effort, accumulating good causes, and finally becoming a Buddha, hence the name Octopus, which is the true body Octopus; through the introduction of the path of true chapter, enabling sentient beings to increase wisdom, eliminate afflictions, and gain benefits, hence the name Octopus, which is the embodied one. There is also an explanation that "chapter all Buddhas come, hence the name Octopus." Octopus brother followed the leader's sponge army to the Western Paradise to obtain scriptures on the way, he ate expired immortal elixir. As a result, he gained foundation cultivation and became a solitary cultivator, in addition to the two hands under his pants, there are six feet.
