Meshcore / Meshtastic Ground Node
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is my version of a Meshcore/Meshtastic node to be used on the ground. I designed this to be deployed in an area where a node can't be deployed up high. I designed the back of the node to snap in so it fits pretty firmly, this is so the node can be opened up later for access to the electronics. The mount fits into the small holes in the back of the node, I glued my mount to the backplate of the node and I would recommend gluing the mount to the spike to prevent the node from spinning once setup in the correct orientation.
This is printed in PETG since it will be sitting outside but you might want to consider paint to protect from long term UV exposure. Watch the polarity on the charge controller harnesses, they were backwards to what they needed to be. You can swap the wires in the coupler or remember that the colors are reversed, I swap mine around or I would forget. This node is desiged for an SMA connection to the board so you will need an adapter or find another solution if you need to use an N Connector style antenna. I may redesign one later but not at this time.
Happy Meshing!
Everything in this unit is listed below:
Schottky Diode these go on the positive side of the solar panel to prevent backfeed and battery drainage, stripe goes away from the panel
10dBi Antenna depending on your deployment you may want a lower dBi antenna to allow for a wider plane
5dBi Antenna you would need an SMA adapter to N Connector like this Coax Adapter if you want to go with the 5dBi antenna.
