Description
This for the skeg for a Tobin Kayak from Costco (Tobin Sports Breakwater Pro X1 12 ft. Inflatable Kayak ). This will likely fit other kayaks and SUPs.
The problem with the skeg slide clip is any sideways pressure will snap it, like getting into the boat in a shallow area with rocks or sand. I've added holes to put screws into the base up, and I hope this prevents the snapping.
This still a work in progress but it is designed in openscad, and you can modify to fit your screws or boat model. Right now it is set for a #8 2 inch wood screw.
Next step is to add the clips, but I am wondering if the skeg will ever slide out.
