Description

When life doesn't give you enough sink space, you print some.

My new place didn't have any space to store all my bathroom stuff besides the sink, and while I don't own a ton of things, it was very crammed. So I designed and printed myself a little shelf, doubling the available space.

Printing:

I designed this to be easily printable, no supports, nothing.

If you have problems with warping, add a brim, otherwise it's about as simple as it gets.

Depending on your desired size total print time will be between 12 and 18 hours, and you will require between 400 and 600 g of filament

Scale:

My original one is 20 cm high, 50 cm board and 12 cm deep, but I've added a few variations.

There are a few different widths and all come with 3 different height options (16/20/24) cm. The total height will be that, plus 1 cm from the board.
Please note: any shelf 55 cm and over will won't fit on a standard 25 cm print bed, requiring an H-Series printer or similar.

Stability:

I've tested it for months with zero issues. You can see in the pictures how much it can carry even when printed “just” with PLA.

The dovetail-like joint in the middle was designed so it could take a lot of weight without breaking.

Assembly:

No additional hardware is required for assembly, just some glue.

I do however recommend adding some form of anti slip pads or tape to the bottom.

Filament:

I've used eSUN PLA Marble and Bambulab PLA Matte Black.

Simply chose colors that fit your bathroom, or ones that don't to make it stand out!

All that being said, Happy printing!
