Description

🌼 What Is a Daisy?
Species name: Bellis perennis (common daisy, Asteraceae family)
Origin: Native to Europe and parts of Asia — now naturalized across the world.
Type: Perennial flowering plant — simple, cheerful, and universally loved.

The daisy is a symbol of simplicity and joy — a flower that feels effortlessly happy. With its bright face and open form, it brings a sense of lightness and innocence to any setting. Unlike more complex blooms, the daisy doesn’t try to impress — and that’s exactly its charm.

It is a flower of clarity — pure, open, and quietly radiant.

🌿 Appearance & Character
Color: Classic white petals surrounding a sunny yellow center — though some varieties appear in pinks, reds, and soft pastels.

Shape: A clean, radial bloom — petals spread evenly like rays of sunshine around a central disc.

Petals: Long, slender, and evenly spaced — simple yet elegant in their symmetry.

Center: Bright yellow, textured, and slightly raised — the heart of the flower, full of warmth.

Leaves: Small, soft green leaves forming a low rosette close to the ground.

Stem: Thin, flexible, and upright — gently lifting the flower toward the light.

Personality: Cheerful, innocent, and refreshing — the daisy feels like a smile in flower form.

☀️ Growth & Expression
Daisies thrive in open, sunny spaces and often appear in meadows, lawns, and wild gardens.

They bloom from early spring through summer, sometimes continuing into autumn depending on conditions.

Each flower opens fully during the day and may close slightly at night — following the rhythm of light.

They often grow in clusters, creating soft carpets of white and yellow that feel natural and carefree.

Their expression is immediate — open, bright, and welcoming from the moment they bloom.

💧 Cultivation & Care
Water: Light to moderate — daisies are hardy and tolerate occasional dryness.

Soil: Well-drained soil, adaptable to a variety of conditions.

Sun: Full sun to partial shade — more sunlight encourages fuller blooms.

Maintenance: Minimal — occasional trimming encourages continued flowering.

Blooming: Long-lasting and resilient, often returning year after year with little effort.

Daisies are wonderfully low-maintenance — they thrive with simplicity and reward even the most casual care.
