Description

Bookshelf Speakers

This is a custom pair of bookshelf speakers that I designed over the past few months. All the parts and materials are listed below, as well as a diagram to help solder the crossover circuit. The values for the crossover components were calculated using VituixCAD. Speaker components can be purchased online from Solen (Canada) or Parts Express (USA). While putting the speakers together, I chose to line the walls with polyester sheets to help with unwanted resonance.

Filament:

  • 1KG SUNLU black PLA+ (x2)

Crossover:

  1. 18 µF capacitor (x2)
  2. 6.8 µF capacitor (x2)
  3. 270 µH inductor (x2)
  4. 620 µH inductor (x2)
  5. 1.5 Ω resistor (x2)
  6. 1 Ω resistor (x2)
  7. 2.7 Ω resistor (x2)
  8. 18 Ω resistor (x2)

Speaker Drivers:

Woofer: Dayton Audio TCP115-8 (x2)

Tweeter: Dayton Audio ND25FA-4 (x2)

Hardware:

  • Any self tapping m4 screws (black looks more sleek)
