I have adapted my threaded case to create a box specifically designed for sewing machine needles.

The goal was to have a small, sturdy storage solution, easy to transport in a sewing kit, and especially to prevent needles from moving around or piercing the original cardboard boxes.

Features

  • Internal compartment optimized for sewing machine needles
  • Usable height: up to 40 mm
  • Holding plate with Ø 2.20 mm holes (keeps needles straight and separate)
  • Closure with screw thread (does not open in a bag)
  • Compact and portable format
  • Protects tips and prevents rust from handling

The needles are held vertically, which allows:

  • not dulling the tips
  • easy gripping
  • quickly seeing which ones remain

Ideal for:

  • home sewing
  • patchwork
  • on-the-go repairs
  • travel sewing kit

Recommended Print Settings

  • Layer height: 0.16 – 0.20 mm
  • 2 to 3 perimeters
  • 10–20% infill
  • Support: none
  • Orientation: vertical printing (as in the photos)

The thread is intentionally tolerant to work correctly on most FDM printers.
