Description

This is an incredibly creative modular remote control with a distinctive and somewhat whimsical design—reflecting my free-spirited approach to its creation.

The overall structure is compact, maintaining the ergonomic grip of most controller handles while accommodating more buttons, with a balanced weight distribution for both hands.

From conceptualization to final testing and prototyping, the entire process took less than a week. Your support and feedback are greatly appreciated to help optimize the model together.

The controller consists of two main parts: the central section serves as the power control hub, integrating the battery, switch, and control board. The two ends are remote button modules, secured via insertion and rotation, allowing for various shape customizations. Each button module features three button slots—one fixed key slot and two replaceable slots for swapping desired buttons. Internal magnets ensure a more stable fit. The top joystick slot is tilted inward, aligning perfectly with the natural position of the thumb.

The remote has no front or back; its orientation can be chosen based on button usage needs. Boasting an open and modular architecture, the power control hub and button modules can be disassembled and reassembled for different scenarios in the future—such as developing pistol-shaped, RC remote-shaped, or other specialized modules.

Notes

  • Ensure the two side handles are mirror-symmetrical.
  • Button edges may require minor trimming with a knife.
  • Adjust the tightness of the rotating connection points as needed.
  • The model has numerous support structures; patience is required when removing supports from the central frame.

Configuration files are still pending editing—feel free to explore and experiment on your own.
