CNC Laser Pointer Alignment Kit

This CNC Laser Pointer Alignment Kit makes setting up your CNC quick, repeatable, and weirdly satisfying.
It’s the same setup I used in my YouTube video — using a cat toy laser pointer to perfectly align my CNC spindle.
The kit includes two printable parts:

Included STL Files

1. 1/4" Collet Insert – Laser Pointer Holder
Designed to fit securely into a standard ¼" collet and hold a small laser pointer perfectly centered.

2. Laser Button Press Ring
Slides over the laser pointer and holds the power button down for hands-free alignment.

Together, these two parts give you a stable, dead-centered laser pointer that makes zeroing your CNC fast, easy, and surprisingly accurate.

How It Works

Insert the collet adapter into your CNC spindle, slide in the laser pointer, pop on the button ring, and boom — instant alignment beam.
