Description
This is a parametric end cap (rounded/“bullet” bottom) modeled in Fusion 360. You can generate your exact size right on MakerWorld:
Customize Online: Click Customize → set Outer Ø, Inner Ø, Height, Fit (clearance), and Chamfer → Generate to get a fresh STL/3MF.
- Keep inner_d < outer_d − 2×clearance.
- Height should be ≥ outer_d / 2 (room for the domed bottom).
- Default loads as 10 mm OD, 8 mm ID, 0.20 mm clearance per side (0.40 mm total), small mouth chamfer.
Use cases: laptop stands, chair legs, camera rigs, and any tubing that needs a snug, protective cap.
Material tips
- TPU 95A: best grip & vibration damping (my pick for metal tubes).
- PETG: durable with a touch of flex.
- PLA: prints easily; works if you don’t need much flex.
Fit tip: If it’s tight/loose, re-generate with clearance adjusted by ±0.10–0.20 mm.
